The ARCTOS network attempts to give more thrust to marine ecological research, to enhance international cooperation and integration, and to proliferate the visibility of Norway's contribution to research in the Arctic. ARCTOS attempts to describe how climate change influences the ecosystem from molecular- to a community level and how this influences biodiversity and biological global flux in the Arctic. With the support of leading international specialists, ARCTOS will arrange one new workshop every year on a "hot" research topic, to keep students up-to-date on Arctic marine ecosystem research.
